Hi, I’m Judy Larsen.
I’m a mathematics educator, researcher, university professor, and professional-learning consultant. I’m fascinated by what becomes possible when classrooms make meaningful space for thinking, participation, curiosity, and belonging.
I work with educators, schools, and districts to explore Building Thinking Classrooms®, numeracy, mathematical identity, responsive teaching, and sustainable professional learning. My approach brings research and practice together through workshops, collaborative inquiry, coaching, co-teaching, and longer-term partnerships.

What Keeps Me Curious?
I continue to be curious about how classroom structures, identity, emotion, autonomy, and relationships shape participation and mathematical thinking. These questions connect my teaching, research, and professional learning work.
